The front end parking lights are usually located near or beside the headlights, although some are mounted on the bumpers or fenders of a vehicle. Rear end parking lamps, on the other hand, are usually plain marker lights used to make the vehicle more visible at the back or at the side, especially during nighttime or during low visibility conditions. Although no American state requires the use of parking lights while parking a vehicle, the government believes that parking lights are necessary safety equipments. That’s why many specifications were made as to the kind of parking lights an American vehicle should have. Unlike vehicles made and use in other countries, American autos should be equipped with parking lights with clear lenses and clear light bulbs.
