Lights play an important part for the safety of your vehicle. This probably is the reason why a lot of different kinds of lights are installed on your vehicle. Each of these lights serves a particular purpose, and for this reason, cannot be replaced by the other lights. And although some of these auto lights are optional equipments and accessories, most are mandatory and must be installed in your car as specified by Federal laws and regulations. One of the many types of auto lights is the parking light. Almost all brand new cars and trucks are equipped with parking lights at the front end of the vehicle body, while some other vehicles are equipped with parking lights at the tail end. The front end parking lights are usually located near or beside the headlights, although some are mounted on the bumpers or fenders of a vehicle. Rear end parking lamps, on the other hand, are usually plain marker lights used to make the vehicle more visible at the back or at the side, especially during nighttime or during low visibility conditions.
